Rubbish Removal in Reservoir
Junk and rubbish removal for Reservoir homes, units and businesses
Darebin’s free booked hard waste collection suits a small load. Your pile has to fit within two cubic metres on the nature strip, and each item needs to be under 1.5 metres long and light enough for two people to lift.
Bundled garden prunings, fence palings, building materials, soil and concrete aren’t collected, and anything left behind has to be cleared within 24 hours. Unit blocks on a private waste service and commercial properties aren’t eligible at all.
With Red Rabbit, your rubbish is lifted from inside your house, shed, garage or yard and loaded in one visit, with no booking date to wait for and nothing to drag to the kerb.

What We Clear
Rubbish we remove from Reservoir properties
Furniture and mattresses
Couches, wardrobes, bed frames and mattresses are carried out from any room, and pieces in good condition are donated where suitable.
Whitegoods and e-waste
Old fridges, washers, dryers, TVs and computers are loaded up and taken to the right recycling stream where possible.
Shed and garage clear-outs
Years of tools, bikes, boxes and stored odds and ends are cleared, and an old shed can be dismantled and taken away too.
Green waste and garden clean-ups
Prunings, branches, palm fronds and stumps are loaded straight from your backyard and taken to recycling.
Renovation and DIY waste
Old kitchens, tiles, plasterboard and timber from your renovation are cleared in one trip, including the materials council won't collect.
House clearances and deceased estates
Whole homes are cleared with care and respect, with usable items donated where suitable and the property left ready for sale or lease.
End-of-lease clear-outs
Furniture and rubbish left behind by tenants are cleared before your final inspection or before new tenants move in.
Shop, office and warehouse clear-outs
Old fixtures, office furniture, pallets and cardboard are cleared from your business around your trading hours.
Rubbish Removal Around Reservoir
Rubbish removal for every kind of Reservoir property
Houses with a big backyard
If your backyard, shed or carport has collected years of furniture, timber and garden waste, it can all go in one visit without you moving a thing to the front.
Units and townhouses
On a shared driveway or in a unit complex, your rubbish is loaded quickly and carefully so your neighbours can still get in and out.
Shops near Broadway and Edwardes Street
Commercial properties can't use the council collection, so your leftover fittings, furniture and cardboard can be cleared in one trip around your trading hours.
Loads council won't take
Heavy items, long timber, fence palings, soil and rocks are all fine, and nothing has to sit on your nature strip waiting for a pick-up.
Tell us what needs to go, and the lifting, loading and sorting is done for you.

Denny is an absolutely star!!! I often arrange rubbish removal for my clients and the positive feedback has always been overwhelming. Not only does Denny do a great job at a reasonable price, he is super pleasant to work with and always turns up when he says he will. I cannot recommend him highly enough.Posted on Google![]()

We used Red Rabbit three times in the last six months to help clear out our old family house with its 50 years of “all sorts of stuff”. The initial drawcard and point of difference was their website promise to recycle so much of the goods (to places like St Vinnies or their local womens shelter). Meeting Denny and then watching he and Mikey expertly pack the big truck like Tetris ninjas proved they are absolutely genuine in this claim. More to the point, Denny is a down-to-earth legend of a bloke. He is old school honest as the day is long, a great communicator, and his small business is one that you just want to support. The pricing was extremely fair on all occasions, and it worked out significantly cheaper than hiring a skip (which we had done a couple times before going down this path). If we ever need a big removal project agoin, he will always be our absolute first port of call. These google ratings do not lie. Do yourself a favour!Posted on Google![]()

Denny and Mikey were excellent help and I would highly recommend. Great with communication and co-ordinating a collection, turned up bang on time, smashed through getting the work done and cost was exactly in line with estimate. Made sure everything went smoothly and would not hesitate to recomend to other or use them again. Great job, thank you.Posted on Google![]()

Why Red Rabbit
Why choose Red Rabbit for rubbish removal in Reservoir?
Red Rabbit is a small, hands-on team led by Denny, working across Reservoir and the rest of Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
One visit, booked around you
You choose a time that suits, and the whole load goes in one trip instead of waiting up to four weeks for a council pick-up.
Nothing left on the nature strip
Your rubbish goes straight onto the truck, so there's no pile on the kerb and no skip bin to book or get a permit for.
We take what council collections won't
Heavy items, long timber, soil, rocks and loads bigger than two cubic metres can all go together.
Landfill is the last resort
Usable furniture is donated where suitable, and metals, e-waste and green waste are separated for recycling.
You deal with Denny
Denny quotes your job, turns up when he says he will and works on the job with the team.
More than 100 five-star Google reviews
Homeowners, renters, property managers and local businesses have been reviewing Red Rabbit on Google for years.

FAQs
Reservoir rubbish removal questions
How much does rubbish removal cost in Reservoir?
Your price depends on how much there is, how easy it is to get to and what’s in the load. Send us a photo and your suburb and you’ll get an obligation-free quote.
Is Darebin's free hard waste collection enough for my clear-out?
It works for a small load if you can wait. You get one booked collection of up to two cubic metres each financial year, every item has to be under 1.5 metres long and 30kg, and the wait can be up to four weeks. Bigger, heavier or more urgent jobs can go in one visit with us.
Can you take fence palings, timber and building materials?
Yes. Fence palings, timber, plasterboard, tiles and other renovation waste are loaded straight from your property. We can’t take hazardous waste such as asbestos, chemicals or fuel.
My unit block uses a private waste service. Can you still help?
Yes. Units on a private waste service aren’t eligible for Darebin’s free hard waste collection, but your rubbish can be loaded from your unit, garage or storage cage and taken away in one trip. We also run regular hard rubbish collections for apartment complexes, including one Northcote block we’ve cleared twice a year for three years.
Can you dismantle and remove an old shed?
Yes. Your old shed can be emptied, taken down and removed, as we recently did for a shed in nearby Preston. Send us a photo and Denny will let you know what’s involved.
What happens to furniture that's still usable?
Where it’s suitable, your usable furniture and household goods are donated, and metals, e-waste and green waste go to recycling, so landfill is the last resort.
Do I need to be home?
It helps to have someone there at the start to show the team what’s going. Once that’s clear, the team can get on with the job.
Can you pick up today?
Same-day pick-ups depend on availability, so call Denny as early in the day as you can. We work Monday to Friday from 7am to 6:30pm and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.
